Product of France. Grown long ago in Monasteries in Spain and Portugal, this pepper is a revered legend in culinary kitchens worldwide. Named from the village of its origin it can be used in hams, pates, sausages and other Basque dishes. It is spicy and intense but not over bearing. It can be used to season any dishes. Now is protected as a rare product to protect its method of production by AOC.
